Dalim Fort

Dalim Fort is located in Gorubathan, a picturesque town in the Kalimpong district of West Bengal, not Kalimpong town itself. Perched atop a hill, the fort offers sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and the Eastern Himalayas. Historically, the fort is believed to be associated with the Bhutanese era of control over the region, and there are also legends linking it to the Lepcha dynasty, the indigenous people of the area.

Though now in ruins, the site is a popular trekking destination and draws visitors for its blend of natural beauty, local history, and quiet ambiance. There is no museum at Dalim Fort, and it’s not associated with Sikkim’s history museum.
