The Dipankara Shanti Stupa

The Dipankara Shanti Stupa, consecrated in March 2009, is a remarkable Buddhist monument situated near the Upper Fagu Tea Garden in Gorubathan. Built on 0.7 acres of land graciously donated by the estate, the stupa stands 74.2 feet tall, offering profound spiritual presence and breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding tea gardens and rolling hills.

Constructed under the guidance of Hoishwar Rimpoche and the Upper Phagu Tamang Gumba Committee, the stupa was erected in accordance with a prophecy by a revered Tibetan guru. It is dedicated to the teachings of peace, compassion, and enlightenment, serving not only as a place of worship but also as a vital symbol of the region’s cultural and spiritual legacy.

Whether you are a pilgrim, a traveler, or simply a seeker of inner peace, the Dipankara Shanti Stupa invites you to experience its serene ambiance amidst the natural beauty of the Gorubathan region.
